Irrigation and Agro-industry

For storing water for irrigation, liquid fertilizers, and treated water, bolted metal tanks offer a solution adaptable to different types of fluids. In many cases, irrigation water may contain nitrates, salts, or suspended solids, which influences the choice of coating: galvanized for less aggressive water, epoxy for fertilizers and water with solids, and vitrified when greater chemical resistance or durability is required.

From a logistical standpoint, the bolted system is especially advantageous in agriculture, as it can be installed in remote areas, accessed with light machinery, and does not depend on curing times like concrete. The possibility of dismantling or expanding also allows it to adapt to the evolution of the agricultural or livestock operation.

This sector also values cost, so galvanized or epoxy finishes are generally well-received. However, in pressurized irrigation systems or those with intensive use, more durable finishes can reduce operating costs.
